Signed-Magnitude Comparator

Each operand is encoded on 8 bits: bit 7 = sign, bits 6..0 = magnitude. 0 means positive, 1 means negative.

Behaviour

• compare the mathematical value of i_a and i_b;
• +0 and -0 must be considered equal;
• only one output among o_lt, o_eq, o_gt may be active;
• the circuit is combinational.
